    FEP Encapsolated O-rings combining the energizing properties of Silicone or Viton® with the chemical resistance of FEP / PFA Teflon® flouropolymers, you get an o-ring capable of handeling extream applications wwith out the extream price of Kalrez®.
    As a rule, Silicone cores are better for low temperature applications. Viton® has a lower compression set figure and is recommended for applications to 400 F (constant).

PTFE Encapsulated materials are ideal for when you need the versatility of Viton® but need it to be chemically inert, or if you need the high temperature properties of silicone but also need it to be more wear resistant.
